The company was founded in 1984 by Niels Ove Andersen, who for many years travelled between Danish jewellery stores to sell his wares. In 2007 the next generation - Michael and Lisbeth Nordahl Andersen - took over the company. In 2015, the company was awarded Innovator of the Year at the Goldsmiths Industry's annual awards ceremony. Nordahl Andersen has also been nominated for various nominations, including EY Entrepreneur Of The Year in 2017 and 2019.
