Moritz’s work considers the making and mutability of memory. In the words of Hans Ulrich Obrist, her art is “memories made visual – the fleeting impulses of the past rendered concrete in art.” These are records of specific, highly personal experiences which open out into collective history: here are recollections of the artist’s childhood in East Germany; here are abstract notions of transience and decay.
