Charles Rennie Mackintosh was a Scottish architect, designer, and artist and was one of the most important figures in Modern Style, an Art Nouveau movement specific to Great Britain This previously undocumented architectural drawing relates to the town planning surveys in India organised by Mackintosh’s friend and town planner Patrick Geddes. The symmetrical design has a classical vocabulary with minimal ornamental forms.
