The Story
This very large (97.7cm x 140cm) exhibition poster is a celebration of art in which you can entirely lose yourself: the work of the visionary Swedish artist Hilma af Klint (1862-1944). The poster was created by the Louisiana Museum in Denmark for an exhibition there in 2014.
Today Hilma af Klint is revered, but for many decades she was given virtually no attention. A pioneer of abstract art, af Klint invented her own artistic language rooted in nature. She was a medium, creating otherworldly masterpieces she believed were commissioned by higher powers. Hers is a pictorial universe of the spiritual, the scientific and the philosophical.
