These glasses are so wonderful - and indeed, their design is catalysed by a sense of wonder. Inspired by the melting ice in Lapland, designer Tapio Wirkkala spent thousands of hours with the glassblowers at the Iittala Glass Factory, to recreate this unique slice of Nordic nature.

With the Ultima Thule, Wirkkala defied the rules of glassblowing. Characterised by a rounded base supported by three ice peaks that float above the surface, the groundbreaking Ultima Thule Highballs bring arctic nature to your table - a stunning way to serve ice cold cocktails.
